Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. GhostMoney is not liable for any financial decisions, losses, or outcomes resulting from use of this application. GhostMoney is also not a bank, money transmitter, or payment service. It does not hold, move, transfer, or have access to your money, and it never connects to or logs into your bank account. It stores no funds; any balances or figures it shows are informational only, are not deposits, and are not FDIC-insured.

GhostMoney is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The service may contain bugs, experience downtime, lose data, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Do not rely on GhostMoney as your sole financial record-keeping system. Always maintain your own copies of important financial documents.

You must be at least 18 years old to use GhostMoney. By using the service you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

You agree to use GhostMoney only for lawful personal finance purposes. You agree NOT to: • Upload fraudulent, falsified, or other people's financial documents • Attempt to access another user's data • Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the application • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service • Share or redistribute your personal access code to unauthorized individuals, or allow any other person to use your access code to log in

You retain ownership of your financial data. By uploading a bank statement, you grant GhostMoney a limited license to process that data to provide the service. You can delete all your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

GhostMoney uses Anthropic's Claude AI to read uploaded bank statements and generate financial coaching insights. By uploading a statement, you acknowledge it is transmitted to Anthropic's API to be read. For text-based files (CSV and text PDFs), personal identifiers are stripped before transmission; for photos and scanned (image-only) statements, the document image is sent to Anthropic as-is so it can be read. In all cases the original file is discarded after reading — only the extracted transaction rows are retained. Anthropic does not use API data to train their models by default. Anthropic's terms of service and privacy policy apply to this processing. See our Privacy Policy (Section 3) for full detail.

GhostMoney reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the service at any time. Your financial data (transactions, statements, funds, snapshots, and related records) is retained until you delete it: use "Delete All Data" in the dashboard for immediate, permanent removal, or email us a deletion request, which we process within 7 days. Your signup record (your signed Terms of Service acceptance) is retained permanently as a legal record and cannot be deleted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GhostMoney and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of profits, financial losses, or damages arising from reliance on AI-generated financial insights. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. GhostMoney does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that results obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable.

GhostMoney reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Only with your explicit opt-in, GhostMoney may use anonymized, aggregate statistics derived from your spending data to improve the service. Consent is an affirmative opt-in — an unticked box at signup for new users, or an in-app opt-in prompt for existing users; if you never opt in, none of your data is used for aggregate analysis. You can withdraw consent at any time from the "Data & Privacy" section of your dashboard. Key protections: • Only category-level summaries are computed — never individual merchant names, transaction amounts, or any data that could identify you • A minimum cohort of 5 consenting users is required before any aggregate statistic is surfaced • Aggregate data is used solely to improve GhostMoney's coaching accuracy — it is not sold or shared with any third parties • Withdrawal of consent applies to future aggregation; previously computed anonymized statistics (which contain no individual user data) are retained This use is governed by these Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Washington County, Oregon.
